JCICS has modified their update about the forthcoming Standards of Practice to say that they will be available for review “around January 27th” ; the statement previously said they would be made public around the 20th. The projected date for signatory ASP compliance to the new standards remains July 30, 2008.

Yes, this is troubling. I’m very very thankful they have taken this on and I can imagine that it is very complex to summarize feedback from so many different parties BUT I felt it was important to present this to the DIA, etc. long before the extention deadline of the MOU in March, so this timeline slipping is worrisome to a certain extent.

I guess all we can do is hope that when it is released, signed and presented it will have a solid impact and was well worth the wait!!
