Voices for Vietnam Adoption Integrity is a volunteer collaborative effort, founded in 2006. Our education, outreach and advocacy is overseen by parents who have been through the adoption process in Vietnam, and other countries, and have gained knowledge and concern about ethics and integrity as well as our own extensive first hand experience during the 2006-2008 adoption bilateral agreement yeras. This site was originally started with the hope that we could help educate others and continue to voice the necessity for ethical adoptions in Vietnam and worldwide.
In 2023, due to the changing landscape of adoption ethics and issues, our focus has shifted to the collection of historical documentation from this era to act as a repository for Vietnamese adoptees, many of who are or will be adults very soon, to use as a reference tool to learn about this portion of their histories. Many of the best sources of journalism and advocacy are no longer in existence, so we aim to collect what they offered this community as a resources that will live on.
